TWICE IN A LIFETIME (4) by Marta Perry: Georgia Bodine's family calls on her to stop her grandmother, Miz Callie, from making decisions they feel are wrong. When she meets widower Matthew Harper, Miz Callie's neighbor and also her strongly principled lawyer, and his little girl, she's quickly drawn to them and realizes that Miz Callie knows exactly what she's doing. Yet Georgia still wonders if Matt has Miz Callie's best interests at heart, or if he's only interested in furthering his career. This first in Perry's mini-series about the Bodines gets off to a fine start with charming characters and the struggle to understand loss and move on.
