Book Review

TWILIGHT’S DAWN
by Anne Bishop

Genre: Fantasy, Anthology

RT Rating

Bishop’s fans will find this a welcome companion to the Black Jewels series. Those new to the author will be confused and frustrated. The common themes and characters are fascinating and realistic, though Bishop’s reliance on gender tropes is distracting. An intriguing read.

Four stories await fans of the High Lord of Hell, Saeta. Discover why the dead sometimes drink blood and walk the earth, and how the power of jewels can help a witch or a blood male tap the power held within them to access their magic. A fantastical world of magic awaits you, should you step into this realm. (ROC, Mar., 448 pp., $25.95)
