Picking up where Time for Eternity ended, A Twist in Time features a new heroine who owns the book written by Leonardo Da Vinci that holds the secrets to the time machine. While the hero goes through quite a transformation, the heroine stays pretty much the same. Rich with historical elements in just the right places, it would have been delightful to see some more of the paranormal elements Squires is also noted for.

Antique bookseller Lucy Rossano is the new owner of a very
old book. Aware of its value, she holds
on to it, and while this decision leads
her into trouble, it may also help her uncover and fulfill her destiny.

Viking Galen is fighting in a fierce battle when suddenly he's in a time machine with a fiery-haired woman named Lucy. On the run from men
who want to get their hands on the knowledge Lucy holds about the time machine, and also healing from battle, Galen and Lucy forge a bond that lasts
a lifetime and fills him with the powers he was destined to have -- an intimate knowledge of the Earth and all living creatures. But before they can fulfill
their destiny, Galen must protect her
and earn her love. (ST. MARTIN'S, Mar.,
