The passion between the two main characters is electrifying and their need to be consumed with each other will leave readers panting. Though this story is steamy, there are some elements missing. There is an emphasis on the hero’s profession, but not enough detail about what being a cowboy is all about. The heroine is afraid to trust men after her past relationships, but there is no description of her history to support her distrust. The story seems to focus primarily on the relationship, with a couple of conflicts added as an afterthought.
When Tyler Garahan is in danger of losing his family’s ranch, he decides to do the unthinkable to save it: strip for money. Though there’s humiliation, along with the that comes a chance meeting with one of the club’s owners, Emily Langley. The fiery redhead and the overprotective cowboy engage in an affair whose passion catches them both off guard. Add a conspiracy to shut down the strip club and an ex-girlfriend who refuses to back down and the pair has more than their insecurities to tend to. (SOURCEBOOKS, Mar., 352 pp., $6.99)
