With humor, plenty of action and captivating characters, as well as some hot sex, readers will enjoy the numerous vampires, shapeshifters, ghosts and more they find within these pages. An entertaining trio that will delight fans of the authors as well as new readers.

In “Shades of Gray” by MacAlister, Noelle is a Guardian. She knows she is also vampire Grayson Soucek’s Beloved. Now if she can only get him to accept this, all while dealing with ghosts, demons and mortals. Harper’s “Undead Sublet” sees Chef Tess Maitland forced to take a leave of absence from her job. She finds her rental in small Half-Moon Hollow still occupied — by vampire Sam Clemson. Sam and Tess declare war on one another to see who will leave first. Sims’ shifter Ruby Sommers gave up her human love Michael four years ago, when her father threatened his life. Now he’s back, but not for long since his life could be in danger of going “Out with a Fang.” (POCKET, Oct., 416 pp., $7.99)
