Museum curator Anna Lundgren has spent countless hours readying the Mayan Exhibit for its grand unveiling to the public. Despite her misgivings, Anna even allowed publicity to play up the idea of the Pocal Curse. However, the curse seems all too real when the morning of the opening, it is discovered that a Jade dagger has been stolen.

Clarence Tebbins of the Tampa PD fancies himself a master sleuth. On the surface, the robbery seems to have been impossible, which intrigues Tebbins greatly.

Homicide Det. Gil Garcia is called out to investigate a suspicious death, and it turns out that the dead man was a security guard for the Museum of Antiquities.

Gil and Tebbins decide to collaborate, but they are coming at the case from different angles. Anna just wants the truth, for she is in the unenviable position of being both the prime suspect and the possible victim of a stalker.
