Filled with laugh-out-loud moments as well as hot sexual encounters, this eagerly awaited story of Christian’s discovery of his life mate is a delightful romance with a smidgen of mystery. An entertaining addition to the Argeneau family saga, the familiar faces give it great continuity, but Marguerite’s ability to manipulate everyone can be frustrating.

Still recovering from her marriage’s breakup, Carolyn Connor is vacationing with friends in St. Lucia. Marguerite Argeneau-Notte is also there on her honeymoon and when she discovers Carolyn is her son Christian’s life mate, she sends for him.

Carolyn has no desire to start a relationship with any man, especially one she considers much younger than her. The only way Christian can get close to her is to pretend to be gay and ask her to help him keep it a secret by posing as his girlfriend. This would be a better idea if Christian could control his desire for her and his jealousy of any man who looks at her twice! (AVON, May, 384 pp., $7.99)
