Secure in her predictable life, teacher Natalie Dorset is content to spend her evenings with her cat and their eccentric landlady, Mrs. Klosterman. Then handsome, mysterious Jack Miller moves into the house. Despite her theory that he's a mob hit man, Mrs. K. thinks Jack's perfect for Natalie and does everything but tuck them into bed together. There's no way to escape from Mrs. K.—or each other—but Jack's real job doesn't leave time for a personal life, and Natalie's a forever type of gal. Elizabeth Bevarly's Undercover With the Mob (3) is entertaining, but the characters and plot aren't up to the author's usual standard.
