An apparently straightforward case takes P.I. Daisy June Holden to an odd place--acting as a nanny to restaurant owner Max Latorto's four kids. Hired by his estranged grandmother to check him out, D.J. is very taken with Max and horrified when her actions accidentally put his custody of the children in danger. Max, meanwhile, is furious when he learns who D.J. really is and wants no part of the amends she tries to make--but there are still the children to con-sider. Wendy Warren's Undercover Nanny (4) is a funny, well-plotted story laced with powerful emotion. Strong but vulnerable D.J. is a marvelous heroine--and Max is a keeper too.
