A hot new futuristic voice has landed and her name is C.J. Barry. This interstellar roller-coaster ride blends just the right amount of action, adventure, passion and humor. A smashing debut.

One minute aspiring singer Tess Mackenzie is fighting off a run-of-the-mill New York mugger, the next she is being zapped unconscious and taken aboard a spaceship. Interstellar adventurer/treasure hunter Cohl Travers is in a bind. Kidnapping an Earth woman is not behavior he would normally engage in, but his father's life is on the line.

Cohl's father is Montral Trae Salle, the ruler and king of the planet Yre
Gault. One side fighting a war on the planet of Trakas has kidnapped Montral. The Traka-nor, who hold Montral, have demanded that Cohl locate a legendary Denisian Amulet of power or they will kill Montral. Locating the Amulet is
only part of the problem—for legend also holds that there are a series of deadly obstacles and traps protecting its location.

The biggest obstacle to releasing the amulet is that a specific song must be sung by a voice whose range and purity are exact. Tess is none too thrilled to discover that her voice is a perfect match. Despite her initial anger and fear, when Tess learns what is at stake she is willing to go along with the plan.

But you know what they say about the best-laid plans, especially when you add in treachery and sabotage.
