AN UNLIKELY OUTLAW
After his daughter Jasmines latest prank, Lee Jamison gives her an ultimatum: find a husband or he will send her off to school back East.
Not wanting to give up her independence, Jasmine comes up with a scheme to satisfy her father. If she can find someone irresponsible and trick him into marriage he will surely leave her.
Jasmine will still have her freedom and her dream of becoming an outlaw. But her plans go awry when she picks drifter Brody McClintock for a husband. Unbeknownst to her, Brody is a Texas Ranger and an honorable man. But he has demons from his past and the vows he made years ago are broken because of Jasmine.
She must learn to trust Brody or their tentative love will be destroyed, for she will do anything to protect her fathers secret from this respectable lawman.
Though readers will enjoy this debut novel, the often times child-like actions of the 24-year-old heroine leave much to be desired. SENSUAL (Jan., 368 pp., $5.99)
