AN UNLIKELY SETUP
AN UNLIKELY SETUP (4) by Margaret Watson: When Maddie Johnson inherits her godfather's house and the building and land a bar sits on, she's determined to sell both so she can pay off her creditors and start fresh back home in Chicago. But when she finds out her uncle promised to sell the land and building to Quinn Murphy, and she realizes what the bar means to him, Maddie has second thoughts. Her decision is complicated further by the relationship she and Quinn begin. When outside problems arise, Maddie and Quinn must solve the issues by working together. Watson's well-written novel has characters with real depth. She's spot-on in her depiction of Maddie's anxiety over her finances and Quinn's inability to commit.
