If Tru Van Dye wants to earn full status as a Majj, she'll have to act fast. The rules of the Majj Institute require an individual to secure a charter before the age of 30, or be kicked out. Over the years Tru has produced a number of major discoveries, but they were processed under her father's charter, not her own. Now the clock is ticking, and Tru needs to act.

Meanwhile, adventurer-turned-businessman Rayce Coburne and partner Gil are restoring and upgrading an old spaceport. It's an expensive venture, one for which they could use more capital. Since Rayce despises the Majj Institute, he's not thrilled when
Tru approaches him regarding a job. But Tru has credits, so Rayce
agrees. Tru is keeping the truth about her mission very close to
the vest. It soon becomes apparent, however, that Tru is going
to need all of Rayce's skill and savvy to succeed on her treasure
hunt.
