Fans of authors like Nicholas Sparks will enjoy this romantic story-within-a-story. Mature Christians might find both Nick’s and Kate’s naïve Christian emotions unappealing, especially Kate’s total faith in Nick as her savior. The constant internal dialogue about staying out of a relationship is a distraction, but die-hard romance readers will find this sweet story to be a page-turner.

Former bad boy Nick Sheridan is now a Christian and he’s determined to keep his pledge to not be in a relationship for a whole year. Now into his sixth month, his world changes when he spots disaster: a car dangling off a cliff. Rick never expects to save the woman who will push his emotions and his pledge to the edge.
