VALTIERI’S BRIDE (3) by Caroline Anderson: Lydia Fletcher hopes to win a wedding in Italy for her sister. To win the radio-sponsored contest, she must bum a plane ride from London to Siena while dressed in a wedding gown. She catches a ride with Massimo Valtieri, a widower who runs his family vineyard and olive farm. An accident causes them to stay together beyond the plane trip, and it doesn’t take long for the couple to fall for one another. This is a charming story about taking risks and finding happiness. The initial attraction between the couple seems a bit contrived, but once they’re in Italy the emotional connection becomes more credible.
