The latest in the long standing Argeneau Family books, Vampire Most Wanted is darker than other books in the series. Divine comes from a world where exploitation and abuse were common and her pain lingers on, so the usual lighthearted humor isn’t as prevalent in this story. Action packed and a lot of sexual tension makes this riveting read. These books all stand alone, but it’s fun to see previous characters poke their heads in for an appearance. This is definitely a great addition to the long line of Argeneau books.

Divine AKA Basha Argeneau is avoiding her estranged family but has found a home with a traveling carnival. When a handsome immortal arrives on her doorstep, she’s immediately suspicious and she’ll do whatever it takes to stay as far away from her past as she can. Marcus has been asked to bring her back to the Argeneau family for questioning. He is just as determined to fulfill Lucian’s request as she is to get away. If he wants to bring her back, he’ll have to catch her first, and Basha doesn’t mind fighting fire with fire. (AVON, Feb., 384 pp., $7.99)
