VIRGIN BOUGHT AND PAID FOR (4) by Robyn Donald: When a penniless Fleur Lyttelton takes ill during a vacation on the tropical island of Fala'isi, island heir Luke Chapman insists she recuperate at his home. When Fleur wants to do something to contribute to her keep, Luke asks her to pretend to be his lover to discourage an infatuated young woman. For Fleur, pretend quickly becomes all too real, but Luke doesn't seem to reciprocate her feelings. After she leaves without saying anything, she learns she's pregnant. The hero is a bit domineering, but the heroine brings out a softer side of him, and the tropical-island backdrop adds a wonderful ambiance.
