Joe Hart is bitter. Believing himself to be manipulated by his ex-love Emma Donavan, the pro hockey player struggles to repair his personal life. Problem is, even though his career is blossoming, his love life—and Emma—continue to intrude. Emma's father owns the Carolina Storm, a team to which Hart has been contracted. Thrown together again, Emma and Joe are going to have to come to terms with the past. Overall, THE VIRGIN'S SECRET MARRIAGE (3) by Cathy Gillen Thacker is rather uneventful. The storyline seems overdone for the 21st century, though the characters' chemistry is fairly good. So is the writing, generally—though there are some weak spots. Joe's character seems especially clichéd.
