Strikingly original and daringly sensual, Low's latest will delight her devotees. Other readers may find the amount of technical jargon and the mystery surrounding the identity of Helen's trainer problematic. But the strength of the author's voice could make both easily forgivable.

Conditioned to be the ultimate supersoldier-spy, Helen "Hell" Roston is about to enter the last phase of her training -- to perfect skills that will give her the edge over any opponent. Aided by an experimental serum and guided by a trainer she knows only as an avatar called Hades, Helen is about to experience remote viewing in virtual reality. The procedure is dangerous, and so is Hades -- who knows exactly which mental, emotional and physical buttons to push to get a peak performance from Helen. Figuring out her trainer's identity poses a challenge, but as Helen's final test nears, she can't afford to let him -- or their sensual virtual encounters -- distract her. There's too much at stake.
