The always impressive Roberts returns to her traditional romantic roots with the first book in the Bride Quartet. An endearing, if slightly klutzy, hero helps ensure a story filled with warmth, humor and touching friendships. This is a wonderful and cozy read.

Childhood friends Parker, Mackenzie, Emma and Laurel have turned their early fascination with weddings into a thriving, all-inclusive business. VOWS is a full-service wedding company with Mac's exquisite photos documenting the memories. At a meeting, Mac runs into geeky, but highly attractive, teacher Carter Maguire. Having watched her mother's multiple marriages, she's wary of love, but Carter gets under her skin. And since Carter had a teenage crush on Mac, he's not about to let this opportunity slide.
