VOODOO FOR TWO (4.5) by Elle James: Fed up, Lucie LeBieu wants to leave her hometown of Bayou Miste, so she sets her sights on rich politician Eric Littington as her ticket out. She decides to put a voodoo spell on Eric to make him fall in love with her. Lucie’s ex, Detective Benjamin Boyette, arrives back in town to help Eric discover who has been targeting him. Ben’s heart clenches when he sees Lucie again, remembering how she dumped him seven years ago. At first, Lucie’s spell on Eric works, but then things go awry. Good storytelling, snappy dialogue, sizzling chemistry, amusing scenarios and taut suspense, all in equal doses, make for an entertaining tale.
