Book Review

by Robin Lee Hatcher

Genre: Inspirational, Historical Romance

RT Rating

Hatcher knows what readers want, and she does not disappoint. Her characters are well thought out and seem like real people, not just fictional creations. Readers won't soon forget the struggles women went through to participate in the political process in the early 20th century.

Beautiful and single, Guinevere Arlington knows her "place" in early 20th-century Idaho. She just refuses to stay there. Gwen loves her independent life in the small town of Bethlehem Springs. But when she runs for mayor -- backed by a shady lawyer -- and falls in love with her opponent, who is looking for support to build a resort, Gwen realizes that winning may come at too high a price.
