Book Review

by Deborah Coonts

Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Mystery, Amateur Sleuth

RT Rating

This enjoyable Vegas romp is filled with amusing scenes, colorful characters and a smart, sarcastic narrator. While the solution to the mystery is fairly predictable, the ride is worthwhile. The author has a knack for writing unpredictable, strong female characters and a deft hand with the romantic elements.

When a young woman plunges to her death from one of the casino's helicopters, Lucky O'Toole, head of customer relations at the Babylon casino, must add finding the culprits to an already insane daily routine. She also needs to ward off the advances of security guard Paxton Dane, who may or may not be on her side, and best friend Teddie, who is looking to move their relationship in a new direction.
