Payne Sentinel reporter Molly Flynn is about to be fired—or so she thinks—when a facetious personal ad for a Stepfordesque bride for her sexy but hardheaded new boss, Sam Reed, accidentally goes into the paper. The joke, however, appears to be on Molly. Instead of letting her go, Sam offers her the advertised role in his life. Realizing she's actually been fighting her own attraction, Molly accepts. Along the way, they investigate a corrupt mayor, and Molly discovers some hardships in Sam's past that may hold the key to his wary heart. Neesa Hart's WANT AD WEDDING (3) is an agreeable read but it loses focus at the end by not clearly wrapping up the investigation that threaded through much of the story.
