Mira is one of nine alien females chosen to participate in Project Rejuvenation. Their mission is to come to Earth, connect with their specifically chosen target, get pregnant and return home to their planet, staying undetected.

Things go wrong right from the start for Mira--it turns out her "target" is Lucas Diamond, director of the Division of Interstellar Activity. Soon Mira finds herself falling in love with Lucas. When the time to return home comes, will she be able to leave him behind?

Lots of excitement and quite a lot of action are included in this final installment of the Starlight trilogy. Lucas and Mira are characters that are easy to empathize with and the reappearance of characters from former stories is nicely done. It all wraps up in a satisfactory way, though this series was such a pleasurable read, you miss not knowing what the other six alien women experienced. (Sep., 384 pp., $5.99)
