Michael Lammergeir, son of the
hero and heroine of The Scoundrel, takes center stage in this conclusion of Delacroix's trilogy. On the night of his 18th birthday, Michael sets sail for his ancestral home of Inverfyre and the battle that will change his life. Before the battle a crone kisses him, claiming she is his lover from another lifetime. Her words haunt him as the years slip by and he becomes the legendary warrior known as the Hawk.

On a visit to Abernye, Michael instantly falls in love with the laird's daughter, Aileen. Stealing a kiss, he is struck by the feeling that they have loved before. He kidnaps Aileen, bringing her with him as he prepares to battle his enemy for Inverfyre. Aileen schemes against her captor but soon discovers his mere touch sets her afire. She too feels they are destined to be together.

Marvelous paranormal touches add
an enchanting dimension to a wonderfully romantic and action-packed medieval romance. SENSUAL (Mar., 400 pp., $6.99)
