RT Rating

A quirky cast of noisy neighbors makes this a terrifically fun read. The main characters are sweet and appealing, and the secondary romance between the local sheriff and a hairdresser is a great bonus. With quick dialogue and a homey feel, this is a wonderful book to curl up with. Small-town romance at its best!

The biggest news in Apple Grove, Ohio, is always the latest love birds’ names to be painted on the town water tower. Every girl in Apple Grove looks forward to when her beau makes his love for her public. Megan has been waiting a decade for her off- and on-again boyfriend to get a ladder and make his claim. She realizes that the relationship isn’t going anywhere. Daniel, the town’s newest resident, is starting over after a broken engagement. Neither one is looking for love, but both are helpless when it falls into their arms. (SOURCEBOOKS, Nov., 352 pp., $6.99)
