Book Review

A WEDDING BLUNDER IN THE BLACK HILLS
by Kim O'Brien

Genre: Inspirational, Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Here’s a romantic comedy full of witty, unique, true-to-life characters. The book struggles with an overly familiar, predictable plot. That said, it is still easy to feel chemistry between David and Millie and to relate to their struggles and triumphs.

Millie helps her mom run a café in the small town of Deer Park. However, she has high hopes of moving to California and becoming a reality show star. Millie strikes a deal with David, a widowed dentist who has just moved back to town, to establish a fake relationship. The arrangement works out great for both of them until they start to have real feelings for each other. (BARBOUR, Oct., 320 pp., $12.99)
