Book Review

A WEDDING DATE IN HOT SPRINGS, ARKANSAS
by Annalisa Daughety

Genre: Inspirational, Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Daughety has a gift for light, self-deprecating comedic writing with heart. Violet is a spunky young woman with high standards for herself and the man she will fall in love with. While this book has a predictable ending, it is fun to take the journey with the characters in getting there.

Violet Matthews is feeling the pressure to find a date to take to her sister’s wedding. With the help of a matchmaker, she is set up on a blind date with Jackson Stratford. Only Jackson isn’t a stranger at all. He went to the same college as her and was the bane of her existence during her senior year. The idea of romance flies out the window, but an agreement to be each other’s pretend boyfriend and girlfriend for an evening just might work. (BARBOUR, Dec., 320 pp., $12.99)
