THE WEDDING JOURNEY
THE WEDDING JOURNEY (4) by Cheryl St. John: After their father dies, Maeve Murphy and her two older sisters set sail from Ireland for America. Tending to an injured lad lends Maeve the job of assistant to Dr. Flynn Gallagher. The journey is an eye-opener for Maeve and her sisters with regard to the other passengers, and though the voyage is fairly comfortable, they must still weather storms and death. However, it’s the danger to her heart that Flynn presents that gives Maeve the most trouble. The first in the Irish Brides mini-series presents a fascinating look at shipboard life in the 1850s. The characters are delightful and inspire anticipation for the next story.
