In THE WEDDING VOW (3) by Laura Abbot, a successful insurance executive re-evaluates her goals when the handsome owner of a sporting goods store and his three year-old daughter sneak into her thoughts and daily life with increasing frequency. Although the heros actions seem frozen in place for much of the book, otherwise strong characterization, a well-drawn setting and fascinating background detail pepper this entertaining start to the new By The Year 2000: Marriage subseries.
