The DeKnight Tales continue with this account of a dysfunctional relationship. The characters are intense and complex and draw you in from the first page.

After Luke rescues Bree from a desperate situation at a sleazy BDSM club, they start seeing each other. Their relationship is unusual because she has sexual hang-ups that he feeds. She thrives on his use of abusive language and pain and cannot find satisfaction through normal methods. Bree panics when Luke tries to take her on a real date, but reluctantly agrees, not knowing he’s on a campaign to help her overcome her insecurities. (HEAT, Nov., 352 pp., $15.00)
