The second novel in the Winslow Breed series is set during the reign of Bloody Mary and features spies, prison breakouts and a growing romance. Fans of this time period will rejoice and devour the book in record time.

Quentin Winslow has been asked by Princess Elizabeth to convert to Catholicism in secret to spy for her. He agrees, but with a heavy heart. His true love, Adara, is a die-hard Protestant, as are his parents. But he believes this what God is directing him to do. When the queen plans to execute Adara for her beliefs, Quentin decides enough is enough and they flee the royal court.
