Interior designer Amanda Daniels McFadden made a possible error in
judgment the day she married neighboring rancher Zachary McFadden. Unfortunately, it's an error that will cause them heartache.

Zachary is furious when Amanda states her intention to dissolve their new marriage. He is aware that Amanda's parents were involved in an abusive marriage and that Amanda is leery of relationships, but he never thought for a minute that she didn't want to spend her life with him.

Based on their past and all they've been through, Amanda and Zachary agree to give their marriage a one-year trial run. But can Amanda overcome her fears and, more importantly, can she survive living an entire year with her own husband?

WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN was definitely worth waiting out the hiatus author Bette Ford took, for she is truly the mistress of romance. Ms. Ford knows how to turn up the heat between characters. I only wish we don't have to wait nearly as long for her next masterpiece! (Mar., 320 pp., $6.99)
