WHEN MORNING COMES
Family dynamics are at the core of Ray’s new series, along with plenty of heartwarming romance. The primary and secondary couples here are smart, caring people and readers will root for them, making this a compelling series starter.
Sabrina’s early life was extremely traumatic, but being adopted into a loving family molded her into a dedicated patient advocate at Texas Hospital. There, she clashes with Dr. Cade Mathis and decides that there is more to this stern, antisocial neurosurgeon than meets the eye. Her first goal is just to make him smile. Her best friend and co-worker, Kara, is also a talented artist who desperately needs encouragement that she does not get from her own mother. She meets Tristan, who has the renovation bug and writes magazine articles about his projects. He’d like to include Kara’s work; plus, she intrigues him personally. (ST.
