WHEN A SCOT LOVES A LADY
Genre: Regency Period, Historical Romance, England
As Ashe slowly builds her characters’ relationship, readers may wonder where her usual action/adventure is lurking, but once the story takes off there’s no stopping the quick pace and thrilling romance that follows. Ashe meets reader expectations for a character-driven romance with strong emotions, albeit with a slightly slower pace than usual.
Lord Leam Blackwood has resigned from the Falcon Club and its covert missions. He is on his way home to Scotland when he’s caught in a blizzard. Lady Kitty Savege is fleeing scandal when she’s trapped by the snow at the same inn as Leam. Their powerful attraction is mutual and the storm gives them time together. Kitty resists Leam’s roguish charm and delightful brogue while Leam keeps his mind on his one last mission and home. But when an elusive enemy threatens Kitty’s life she realizes Leam is the only man she can trust and he discovers she’s the only woman for him. Together they must find a way to complete Leam’s mission and claim their love. (AVON, Mar., 380 pp., $7.99)
