WHEN SHE WAS GONE
You’ll be unable to put down this immensely readable, even re-readable, book. The characters are all engaging and while some might be more likable than others, each has an angle that pulls the reader in. While Linsey never takes center stage, she is so well described by the other people in her town that it is easy to picture her and her life.
Linsey Hart should be excited about leaving for college, but the breakup with her boyfriend, Timmy, hangs over her. Then she disappears and everyone is frantic to find her. Her neighbors begin to tell Linsey’s story through their own points of view while hoping to find her healthy and alive. (GALLERY, Mar., 304 pp., $15.00)
