by Lynette Eason

Genre: Inspirational, Mystery/Thriller/Suspense

RT Rating

Eason is quickly making a name for herself with taut, suspenseful fiction. The mystery will keep the reader guessing until the end, and as soon as one puzzle is resolved, a cliffhanger will keep you anxiously awaiting the next installment! Fantastic characters and a meaningful faith message make for a winning start to a new series.

Alexia Allen escaped a horrible childhood right after high school graduation and has thrived as a firefighter. When her equipment fails, Alexia suspects foul play, but has to wait for the conclusions of her superiors. She decides to return to her childhood home, knowing that her mother is in the hospital. Shortly after Alexia’s arrival, bad things begin to occur — murders, an attempted kidnapping, a shooting —- and she wonders who is after her and why. With the help of Hunter, a handsome police detective, she begins to tie the events to something in Alexia’s past, something that an unknown person does not want revealed.
