WHERE LOVE GROWS
Where Love Grows is the conclusion to Eicher’s Fields of Home trilogy. And while it is best to read the series in order to appreciate the character development, the author does provide background information to catch the reader up in most areas. The characters remind the reader that, while the Amish are viewed as a peaceful community, their lives are not free from tests and trials.
While Teresa prepares for her upcoming marriage to James, she can hardly believe how much her life has changed since joining her friend Susan’s Amish community. And even though Susan is happy for Teresa, she wonders if she will find love again. Susan still has feelings for her ex, but is not sure she can forget his past betrayal. Susan’s father is dealing with his own past, as he meets his adult son for the first time. How will the people in their community react when they are forced to confront the fact that past behaviors and present choices can have long lasting consequences?
