by Debra Cowan

Genre: Historical Romance, Western, America
Sensuality: HOT

RT Rating

Estranged lovers are reunited in Cowan’s latest addition to her Whirlwind series. Plus she throws in some rustlers, mysterious neighbors and suspicious cowhands, to make for a wild ride. Cowan does an excellent job of bringing her characters to life and keeping the readers guessing about the bad guys.

Seven years ago, Annalise Fine and Matthew Baldwin were engaged. When her father died, she left Texas and Matt to become a doctor. Now she has returned home to Whirlwind, where she is welcomed by all, except the man she loved. Matt wants nothing to do with Annalise, but when he is ambushed and left for dead, she shelters him until he is better. The ex-lovers have much to discuss and forgive, but even as they resolve their differences, other sinister forces are plotting against them and the town! (HARLEQUIN, Jan., 288 pp., $5.99)
