A missing musical score pits a determined heroine against Nicholas, Earl of Seacombe. Dorian, from the wealthy merchant class, wants the missing music because it's the last song composed to her beloved aunt by her aunt's deceased lover. For Nicholas, it holds the only clue that will clear his name of treason.

In their quest to locate the score, they pretend to become engaged and the sparks fly. Love, a friend's betrayal and a spy's murderous intentions all blend together in this exciting romance.

Linda Madl includes a charming subplot with Dorian's brother and his snobbish attempts to join the aristocracy which are thwarted by true love. SENSUAL (April, 400 pp., $4.99)
