Banks’ newest installment of her KGI series starts off with bang and just keeps going. Filled with heart-stopping action, suspense and intense emotion, with a tender romance at its core, Whispers will have you turning the pages well into the night.

Held prisoner in a filthy dungeon, soldier Nathan Kelly could swear he hears a gentle voice in his head. At first he thinks he’s hallucinating until he realizes that it belongs to a woman, Shea Peterson. Shea, a telepath, finds herself involuntarily linked to Nathan and it’s her mental connection that helps him escape from his captors. Their connection goes dormant until months later, when Shea is caught in a desperate and dangerous situation and contacts Nathan for help. Nathan quickly goes to her, determined to protect her and stop those who are after her. Now physically together, their emotional connection proves to be an even stronger than their telepathic one.
