Readers who are familiar with Bruhns will absolutely love this second, sexy installment in her Men in Uniform series. Part military thriller and part passionate romance, the pages can’t turn fast enough. While the love scenes sometimes threaten to overtake the storyline, the detailed and accurate worldbuilding and nonstop intensity provide great pacing. It’s obvious the author took special care to create authentic characters, and the sparks really fly between Sam and Clint. The chemistry they share adds to the suspense and makes the stakes even higher.

Chinese operatives are chasing U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Clint Walker across the freezing Bering Sea. Clint will stop at nothing to keep stolen military plans safe, even stowing away on a cargo ship. Sam Richardson is the determined captain of the vessel Clint sneaks aboard. Sparks fly between them, and their passion nearly distracts Clint from the mission at hand. Together, they must face extreme danger and struggle to survive to live and love another day.
