The White Road
Picking up right where the fourth book left off, this is an action-packed and exciting read — fans of the Nightrunner series will have no trouble finding the threads of the plot, while new readers may want to start with either the first, Luck in the Shadows, or fourth, Shadow’s Return. Seregil and Alec remain two of the most memorable heroes in fantasy.
Alec and Seregil want nothing more than for their lives to return to normal in Rhiminee; however they must first figure out what to do with Sebrahn, the alchemically born “child of no woman” created from Alec’s blood. Sebrahn’s otherworldly ability to heal or destroy makes him a danger to those around him, and his inability to be separated from Alec looks to be a real problem for the duo’s future prospects. With the help of some old friends and Seregil’s clan, Alec and Seregil set out to discover the truth behind Sebrahn and in doing so, they must face enemies old and new.
