Lawsuits can be hell on earth, even for witches and wizards. Fan-fave Wisdom delivers a new tale from her clever magical universe and continues to delight with clearly defined -- if somewhat offbeat -- characters who face danger with pizzazz.

Usually sweet-tempered witch Stasi Romanov is enraged to discover that she's being sued in Wizard's Court by a nasty human named Carrie. Things get worse when Stasi meets Carrie's powerful wizard attorney, Trevor Barnes. Apparently Cupid is having some fun. He's tagged both Stasi and Trev, making them see hearts.

But things take a frightening turn when Stasi and fellow witch Blair realize that a dark new power is invading their small town of Moonstone Lake. Stasi needs all the help she can get to save herself and the townspeople. (SOURCEBOOKS, Mar., 384 pp., $6.99)
