by Marguerite Kaye

Genre: Historical Romance, England, Georgian Period
Sensuality: HOT
Setting: Georgian England

RT Rating

With its delightful characters and traditional plot, Kaye’s latest is a quick, charming read destined to delight readers. Her intrepid heroine and dashing hero are a fine duo, and though the story is predictable in places, Kaye brings a fresh approach to her story.

Fearing that her hedonistic sister is about to ruin her life and become mistress to Christopher, Lord Rasenby, Clarissa Warrington takes drastic action: she offers herself to the handsome rogue if he will give her the adventure of a lifetime.

Intrigued, Kit agrees to Clarissa’s outrageous scheme, bringing her aboard his ship on a mission. She proves fearless, enterprising and passionate. Kit would keep her, but Clarissa flees, fearing her heart is as deeply involved as her body. But when her mother’s gambling debts fall into the hands of Kit’s enemy, he is the only one who can rescue her. (HARLEQUIN, Feb., 300 pp., $6.25)
