Treacherous vampires return in Mulvany's hot new supernatural thriller. Great pacing keeps the clues to this heroine's past unfolding while keeping the fear factor growing.

After her escape from the mental institution, Nevada White is trying to avoid the two killers tracking her. Her memories have been blocked, but she does have one unique trick: through
a mirror she can psychically see the truth about people and events.

Former race car driver Patrick "Trick" Granger and his friend Marcello Bellini see Nevada being tossed from a truck. Upon learning that she's in need of money, Trick offers her a job cleaning the cursed old Granger house as he readies it for sale. He's a bit disconcerted when he realizes that Nevada is the spitting image of Blanche Smith, the woman murdered in the Granger house. When people turn up with their throats torn out, Trick, Nevada and Marcello suspect that what's hunting Nevada may not be entirely human. (POCKET STAR, Dec., 357 pp., $6.99)
