WICKED, SINFUL NIGHTS
by Julia Latham

Genre: Historical Romance, England, Tudor Period
Sensuality: HOT
Setting: 1487

RT Rating

Though Latham's novel sometimes lacks an authentic feel for the period, it doesn't hamper this nicely written, sensual read.

Sir Robert Hilliard is a member of the League of the Blade, a secret organization dedicated to helping the innocent and the unjustly accused. By order of King Henry, he is assigned to discover who murdered fellow Bladesman Viscount Drayton, also Robert's mentor. The prime suspect is Sara Audley, a widow gossips claim murdered her husband. Sara is nursemaid to Drayton's young heir, Francis.

Robert asks Sara for help in his investigation and eventually is convinced of her innocence. He has finally met a woman who holds his heart and soul just as she finds a man she can love and trust. But when a chain of events is set in motion, Robert relies on his training as a Bladesman to protect Sara and Francis. (AVON, Jan., 376 pp., $7.99)
