It is a lot of fun watching these characters (some old, some new) evolve into something more than just demons looking to destroy, cosmic troublemakers causing sexual chaos and mystical cats misbehaving. A book about change, redemption and taking chances, Wicked Whispers gives readers the romance of lust turning into love and brings the uncertainty of yearning for real friendships. This is done all while showing that there is more to these characters than just their powers. Sparkle and Ganymede are up to their usual antics, but not so much in the forefront of the story, giving other well-known characters a chance to shine. The Castle of Dark Dreams is definitely back, and Nina Bangs does not disappoint!

Demon Murmur is staying at the Castle of Dark Dreams to help Bain, another demon of the Underworld, claim his lost love from the Fae. Music is Murmur's power and he can use his tunes to lure, ensnare, control, seduce and even kill. However, it's starting to look like Murmur may be spending too much time on the mortal plane because he's not getting his usual enjoyment out of destruction, and his master is starting to take notice. Ivy wants to take control of her life so she impulsively takes a job at the Castle as Sparkle Stardust's assistant. Her no-nonsense attitude doesn't include fantasy hunks, mystical powers or fairy tales, but after dancing with Murmur on the beach her world is about to be turned upside down, especially when her brother Kellan shows up.
