WIFE: BOUGHT AND PAID FOR
When Penny Haversham's parents are suddenly killed in an accident, she discovers that Solo Maffeiano, who four years ago instantly stole her heart, owns half of her home. Left with the guardianship of her young half-brother, she asks Solo to buy her out or agree to put the house up for sale. But Solo finds that he's now in a position to get what he always wanted —a WIFE: BOUGHT AND PAID FOR (4). While the conflict is based on the misunderstanding of a two-minute conversation, Jacqueline Baird's latest is still a compelling read. The characters are so larger-than-life and the story is indeed passionate and intense.
